Adoption services for children in foster care.

Provides support of family reunification, or concurrent planning for adoption or alternative planned living arrangements.

Offers foster care recruitment and placement for individuals, couples or families interested in foster care. Pre-service parenting classes are provided inorder to better prepare foster parents with issues such as abuse and neglect, abandonment, discipline, etc. Also offers additional support to those who become foster parents.

Provides detailed information about adoptions and New York State's foster care system and the needs of children in temporary out-of-home placement. Helps interested individuals go through the fostering or adoption process and provides information and supports for families with foster or adopted children in the home.

Provides placement of children (birth-18 yrs) and provision of support services for family and child when child assessed and determined to be in need of out-of-home Foster care. Provides Foster Home Licensing.

Foster parent must be at least 21 yrs, pass background check, receive ongoing training and support. Foster parent receives daily stipend; clothing allowance; and medical, dental, and orthodontic coverage for children in their home. Can be matched with children ranging from birth through age 21 yrs, including pregnant teens.

Provides temporary care to children who are unable to remain with their family. Caseworkers provide the services and support necessary to reunite the family. If a child cannot safely to return to their family, the agency works to develop a permanent plan for the child.

Provides specialized and therapeutic care to children (birth-18yrs) who have significant social, emotional, behavioral and/or physical problems. Intensive, individualized plans developed and provided through a collaborative team of social workers, parents, foster parents, and community providers to ensure permanency for each child. Licensed by NYS Office of Children and Family Services.

Assesses and arranges or provides appropriate preventive services as defined by OCFS to families with issues that put the child/children at risk of placement in foster care
