READING/WRITING LEARNING CLINIC | JOAN AND ARNOLD SALTZMAN COMMUNITY SERVICES CENTER

Dedicated to providing literacy support to children, adolescents, and adults in an environment where learners have the safety and support that allow them to take risks and gain confidence as they move toward developing mature control of literacy skills. The Reading/Writing Learning Clinic provides services to families in the communities that adjoin Hofstra University as well as in the larger metropolitan area. New York state-certified literacy specialists provide weekly small group or individual instruction. The Reading/Writing Learning Clinic also offers professional reading and writing evaluations for school-aged children and adults. Offers non-credit online writing courses in partnership with Ed2Go. Sample course offerings include: Effective Business Writing; Write Fiction Like a Pro; Write Your Life Story; Write And Publish Your Nonfiction Book; Beginning Writer's Workshop and How to Make Money From Your Writing. These six-week online courses are the perfect way to learn a new skill or enhance your existing ones. You'll need to spend roughly two to four hours each week completing two engaging lessons in an enjoyable, interactive learning environment. Expert instructors develop and lead every course. The course is not conducted "live." You are able to log-in at any time to take your lessons. New sessions start every month, so you can sign up anytime.
