Women Swimmin' is a community swim, not a race, that gives women in the community (and some who travel from afar) the opportunity to swim across Cayuga Lake, while raising money for Hospicare & Palliative Care Services.Held at the Ithaca Yacht Club and generally takes place on the second Saturday in August. Registration for swimmers begins in early May at www.womenswimmin.org.Limit of swimmers is reached usually within a few hours. Registration for boaters and volunteers begins later in May.Women Swimmin' Laps for Hospicare is an opportunity that began in 2015. Women, age 18 and older, can swim any distance they choose, in any pool with a certified lifeguard, to fundraise for Hospicare. Manages the Toys for Tots program for families in need who reside in the Deposit Central School District.
