Provides emergency assistance with food through food vouchers. Provides counseling services including adoption counseling, advocacy, death/grief counseling, family counseling, and individual counseling, including for teens. Offers domestic violence sessions for men who are mandated by the criminal justice system or an agent of the courts for 26/52 sessions. Day and evening sessions available. Community educational presentations, training, technical assistance, and consultation provided. During the holiday season, provides assistance with coats, food vouchers to purchase ingredients for holiday meals, and toys/gifts for families who are not receiving gifts from Toys for Tots or Salvation Army.

Horizon Health Services - Horizon Village Terrace House

A 68-bed inpatient residential medically supervised treatment facility. Provides 24-hour care to men and women who need support, counseling, observation, nursing, and medical care to achieve initial stabilization from drug and/or alcohol withdrawal. Typical stays are 7-14 days with possible extended stay to 28 days for co-occurring mental health or medical disorders. Supportive services offered to enrolled patients include individual, group, and family counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, drug screening, education regarding addiction and disease management, health education, suboxone treatment, continued medication assisted treatment, medical evaluation and follow up as needed, self-help involvement, relapse prevention, overdose prevention education, and discharge planning. ##REENTRY##

Independent Living of Niagara County - ILNC - Niagara Falls

Works to educate, empower, and to promote equality of all people with disabilities in Niagara County. Provides peer supports, information and referral, advocacy, transition supports, and peer services to people with any functional limitations. Has many programs and resources to assist constituents, including Deaf Services, Medicaid Application Assistance Program, Independent Living Skills training, Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Services (CDPAS), and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and benefit/entitlement services for individuals with disabilities. Also offers a medical loan closet. Addict 2 Addict (A2A): A peer-led team serving people with substance use disorders and their families and loved ones. Peers (in sustained recovery themselves and/or having loved ones with a substance use disorder) share their recovery experience and help those with substance use disorders navigate the many avenues to take by offering information, advocacy, and Peer Counseling to help them reach their first steps on the path to recovery. The team is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and will respond to a call at 716-498-4333 within 24 hours.
