The CMHP Clinic is comprised of multiple programs in Counseling: Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, and Creative Arts Therapy. The CMHP Clinic provides the following services to residents of Long Island and the surrounding areas: Individual, couple and family therapy; Community education seminars; Group therapy to individuals, couples and families and speakers for schools, hospitals and agencies. Provided in Westchester hospitals as well as Rockland State Psychiatric Center, this service provides hospital-based engagement and discharge support with a primary focus on relationship building and strengthening community connections.
Work with veterans to support positive environment. Provide emotional support, information and guidance for veterans who have emotional problems including post traumatic stress disorder relating to experiences in the service, or who are having other difficulties adjusting to their civilian status. Assists in finding proper avenues for health education and housing. Peer to peer group meetings to encourage outreach and advocacy. Offers dog training for veterans with PTSD.

Investigates all crimes that involve persons under the age of 16 years. The Juvenile Offices are located within City Hall separate from the police department complex. This affords parents and juveniles a more comfortable and private atmosphere in which to talk to the Juvenile Officers.

Provides outpatient services to individuals 5 years of age and older. Treatment for children and teens focuses on family systems. Areas of concern may be Attention Deficit Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, or the parent child relationship. Provides adult treatment for a variety of psychiatric and psychological disturbances including Depression, Anxiety and Panic, Bipolar Disorder, and disturbances of thought and perception (such as hallucinations and delusions). In addition, issues such as family violence, sexual abuse, and impaired interpersonal relationships can be addressed. Clinical staff is comprised of mental health professionals of Masters-Level training and Community Mental Health Nurses, along with access to the expertise of a psychologist and psychiatrists. Various modes of treatment are utilized and include psychiatric evaluations, individual psychotherapy, marital and family therapy, group therapy, psychological testing, and psychiatric medication treatment. Treatment is supervised by a psychiatrist.

Outpatient clinic services include Adult Services, Alcohol and Substance Use Services, and Child and Adolescent Services. Available services include individual, family, and group therapy. Evidence-based practices are the treatment modalities of choice. People receiving services are encouraged to have their family or significant other participate as well. People receiving services are involved in the development of their treatment plan, as are their family/caregivers to the extent the person desires their involvement or when they are legal guardians. Services can be provided through telehealth as well as in-person. These options are provided in order to help facilitate access to appointments, deal with emergency appointments as needed, and to improve engagement. Sessions are conducted through secure technology platforms, which have been approved by New York State.

Walk-in center for individuals experiencing mental health challenges and in need of immediate help. Provides immediate crisis support, medication evaluation, and psychiatric and counseling resources. Provides support for people feeling distressed, anxious, sad, or depressed but who don't want to go to the ER or CPEP. The Help Center may be visited up to 3 times to bridge the gap between services.
