HALos collaborates with educators, community leaders, mental health and healthcare professionals. Receives referrals from the local public school systems, and collaborate with Broome Chenango Canine Help Group. This organization provides registered therapy dogs to families when needed. Opportunity to pet, touch, and talk to these therapy dogs has proven beneficial to some individuals.

* Provides crisis intervention, client/situation stabilization services face-to-face to divert non-lethal individuals from the county's psychiatric emergency departments as well as to find, support and link individuals to mental health services.
