Provides recreation opportunities to students ages 4 years old through 7th grade. Offers a full gym and game room with a variety of table games like pool, foosball, hockey, and ping pong. Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York, The Connection

A free after-school drop-in center for teens in Niagara Falls, serving adolescent teens ages 11-19. The Connection Coordinator, members of the Teen Peer Program, and Community Trainers lead lively discussions and educational sessions as well as cooking classes, book clubs, and opportunities for youth to develop their community leadership skills. Contests, field trips and other activities are chosen and developed by teen members attending. Members can spend time studying or completing homework, relaxing in a safe space, and engaging in structured programs. Meals or snacks are served daily. Connection members also benefit from informal mentoring, tutoring, a video game lounge, service learning activities, character building, teen employment preparation and employer linkages, college preparation, media production, computer and printer access.

Liberty Center for Youth

A free, daily after-school program for students ages 9-16 years old. Offers a computer/tech room with 10 computers as well as 10 tablets that youth may use for homework or recreational purposes. Provides supervised game time in the gym as well as a game room featuring air hockey, pool, ping pong, and foosball. There is a cafeteria/program space used for a daily snack provided by the Batavia City School District. Activities include clubs, open gym and sports, active games, socialization and free choice, homework help, mentoring/tutoring, computers/game systems, community involvement, and enrichment activities. Transportation to the center is provided by the school; however, parents must arrange this with the school.

SOCIAL SKILLS GROUP | NORTH SHORE YOUTH COUNCIL

Focuses on bringing together small groups of children and teens so that they can learn to interact appropriately with others their own age and practice important life skills. The program runs in 8 week sessions. Topics include: conversation skills, making and keeping friends, body language, social cues, problem solving, cooperation, frustration and tolerance, anger management, self-esteem, and managing stress.

Jefferson Youth Center - Town of Tonawanda

Open to children ages 4-12 during non-school hours; provides adult supervision and is open most school holidays including early release days and snow days. Activities include homework help, arts and crafts, field trips, special events, and use of a billiards room, game room, lounge and computer lab. Children ages 4-6 participate in the Funland Program. JYC may be available through the Ken-Ton Transportation Department. Request form required for alternate transportation.

Gloria J. Parks Community Center

Provides community meeting space, food pantry referrals, special events, family activities, and technology center / computer lab. Senior programming includes exercise, movies, parties, senior council meetings, bingo, nutrition program for seniors, and field trips. Youth programming includes an after school program for children 5-10 years old, 4-H programs, homework help, teen and adolescent life skills, youth and teen recreation, summer day camp, and homework assistance.
