DEAF/HEARING LOSS RESOURCE INFORMATION | HEARING LOSS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA - WESTCHESTER CHAPTER

Offers information on available services, activities, support, and advocacy for those who are deaf, hard of hearing and their families. Also provides a quarterly newsletter, which aims towards the need of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, and their families. ONCOLOGY SUPPORT PROGRAM-EDUCATION | HEALTH ALLIANCE OF THE HUDSON VALLEY

The "Celebrate Life!" Newsletter is published bi-monthly and features new cancer information, columns by physicians, articles by support program staff, reader contributions, a program calendar, and announcements of special events. Available to anyone whose life is touched by cancer. The Complementary Medicine Discussion Group focuses on complementary therapies, treatments and techniques with occasional guest speakers.

WISHGRANTING | WISHGRANTING

Grants wishes to children ages 2 1/2 to 18 years (must be under the age of 18 at the time of referral) who have been diagnosed with a life threatening medical condition and who have not received a wish from any other organization.

BLIND AND VISION IMPAIRED RESOUCE INFORMATION | FOUNDATION FIGHTING BLINDNESS (FFB) - NEW YORK

Offers information and referral services for affected individuals and their families, as well as for doctors and eye care professionals. Also provides comprehensive information kits on retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, and usher syndrome. The newsletter, InFocus and the e-newsletter, InFocus Online, present articles on coping, research updates and Foundation news, and is sent out 3 times a year. There is also an annual conference.
