Assists low and moderate-income residents of the Town of Islip with housing and public service programs and eliminates blighted and deteriorated conditions in the Town's neighborhoods and commercial districts. Programs include housing rehabilitation for low income Islip homeowners, affordable housing for prospective first time homebuyers, commercial storefront improvements in downtown target areas, and promoting energy efficiency for all Islip homeowners. The entire township of Islip is eligible for most programs, with other programs targeted to downtown target areas in Bay Shore, Brentwood and Central Islip.
