- Provides procedural and legal information on many topics, including, but not limited to: Name change petitions. Small Claims application. Landlord/Tenant forms and procedures. Answer to a Summons/Complaint. How to ask the court to vacate a judgment. Poor person status application. Motion forms. How to start a civil suit. How to enforce/modify a divorce judgment. How to serve legal papers. * Provides the above information in the form of books, guides, packets, brochures, DIY programs and online tools.
- Offers year-round recreation programs for youth, teens and adults.
- Assists farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural workers with disabilities by offering the following services: On-site assessments of the agricultural worksite or home to identify barriers to completing tasks Recommendations for assistive technology (equipment/tools/devices), modifications that can make it easier to perform work, and/or other possible solution to overcoming disability-related limitations Access to information on a variety of topics related to disability and agriculture Provides education/training opportunities through workshops, conferences, seminars, and on-line programs Referrals to other local services for potential assistance (financial, rehabilitative, education, etc.) specific to the clients' needs Arranges for peer support opportunities that connect customers with others who have successfully accommodated their disabilities * Direct funding or equipment is not provided by the AgrAbility Project, instead the project works with state Vocational Rehabilitation departments and other funding sources.
Local partners are working together to help community members learn how to access construction job opportunities in Central New York. Syracuse Build, supported by CenterState CEO in partnership with the NYS Department of Labor and CNY Works, is hosting weekly information sessions for individuals interested in careers in construction and the building trades.
Information sessions are held every Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at CNY Works, located at 960 James Street in Syracuse.
No experience is required. Due to limited space, pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Walk-ins will be accepted if space is available. During the session, you will learn about:
- Job opportunities and qualifications for regional construction projects, including Micron and I-81
- Step-by-step guidance on how to join a local construction union
- Benefits of union membership
- Available training programs and apprenticeship opportunities
- Resume writing and interview strategies

- 16 bed facility at the ROLES Grant Avenue shelter (men and women).* Facilitates Permanent Supportive Housing/ Solutions to End Homelessness Program
- Provides programs to help juvenile delinquents such as the PINS (Persons in Need of Supervision) Program.* Provides intake access to the courts for the public seeking resolution of matters concerning custody and visitation, and conducts investigations relative to custody and visitation matters.* Prepares family offense petitions which domestic violence victims take to Family Court.* Provides community service sentencing, pre-trial release services, enhanced with electronic home monitoring, as well as strengthening relations with Drug Court and Restorative Justice Planning.
