Through excellence in teaching and learning, in partnership with family and community, this will be accomplished while creating a safe and nurturing environment. Tecumseh Elementary School, in collaboration with Sagamore Children’s Center, services students with mild to severe learning disabilities and moderate to severe behavioral and/or intensive counseling concerns. A comprehensive, structured school wide behavior management system is used. This program is for students ages 5-12 in grades K-6th. Student options include: 6:1:1; 8:1:1 and 8:1:1+2. Students are classified as Multiple Disabilities; Speech and Language Impaired; Autism; Emotional Disturbance; Learning Disability and other Health Impairment. Educates the public on various issues of agriculture and ecology.

Provides support and outreach services to let individuals with diabetes, and their families know they are not alone, especially when they feel overwhelmed, have questions or concerns. There are parents of diabetic infants, teens, and others of every ages, plus adult Type 1s, who make themselves available to listen and offer suggestions or guide to other resources that may help.

Community based service group which lends sick room equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, bath seats, commodes, bedside tables, etc, to residents of the Three Village School District. Contact is made by phone and answering machine.

Responds to requests from volunteers to be referred to mentoring programs. Screening refers volunteers to programs matching their geographic and demographic preferences. Provides an orientation class, Mentoring 101 to let you know what to expect and how to get started. This two-hour class prepares you to mentor. Offers students the opportunity to be an important member of the health care team when they pursue a career as a Radiologic Technologist. Students will learn the skills necessary to successfully pass the Radiologic Technology Registry Exam. This nationally recognized certification from the ARRT demonstrates that you have the knowledge necessary to work anywhere in the United States. Through the Radiologic Technology program at Western Suffolk BOCES, you will receive training in modern diagnostic radiography. Students receive instruction in fully equipped classrooms and laboratories at our Northport Campus by our highly trained and experienced faculty. Hands-on clinical training takes place at medical centers, hospitals and outpatient imaging centers. Provides an Early Intervention(EI) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) related services for children ages 0-5 who have developmental delays in areas including: communication, physical and motor, cognitive, social and emotional, and adaptive skills. Performs evaluations in all areas including diagnosing autism spectrum disorder. Offers individual treatment plans including: speech and language therapy, including PROMPT physical and occupational therapy, special education, feeding therapy, nutritional and parent counseling, sensory integration training, play therapy, applied behavioral analysis (ABA), audiological services and education of the visually and hearing impaired. Offers bilingual services and evaluations, parent support groups, family training and transition counseling. School aged services through the Committee on Special Education (CSE) provided as indicated on the child's IEP. Trainings and workshops provided to schools, daycare and parent groups. Serve as headquarters for all county libraries and provides services that plan, organize and control the activities, but offer very limited direct services to the public, except peripheral administrative services like training, community awareness programs or materials and research.

The building department monitors new building conditions and construction, and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Also enforces the state and local building codes, housing standards and ordinances, to the review of applications for permits of new buildings, repairs, alterations, signs, and rooming houses, in addition to electrical and plumbing work. The building department accepts complaints from tenants about conditions the landlord fails to resolve.

Soup Angels provides sit-down meals to the community every Monday and Wednesday at 4:30 pm-6:45 pm.

Offers educational awareness programs to civic organizations, schools, mental health agencies and institutions concerning the epidemic of domestic violence, women's reentry, human trafficking, and teen dating awareness.

Congregate Meals, served in group settings, are provided throughout New York State by Area Agencies on Aging. Meals are available to adults age 60 and older as well as their spouses of any age, without regard to income, up to five days a week. Each meal provides at least 1/3 of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) for an individual. There are over 1,000 congregate meal sites in New York State. They are located in senior centers or clubs, senior housing complexes, town halls and other community facilities. In addition to meals, many service providers also offer health and wellness programs, nutrition education, recreational programs and transportation to the individual dining sites. However, due to program funding limitations, there may be a waiting list for nutrition services.

Services include reproductive or sexual problems, breast exams, cervical cancer screening (Pap tests), fibroid testing and treatment, hormone replacement therapy, incontinence treatment, infertility testing and treatment, menopause and midlife services, urinary tract and vaginal infections, and menstrual problems.

The Child Single Point of Access (C-SPOA) is a process that assists children and youth, 0-21, who are struggling emotionally and/or have a mental health diagnosis and their families to access many in-home and community-based services and supports to prevent hospitalizations and out of home placements.

Promotes the beautification and planting of trees in community. Provides Garden Therapy to adult centers. Assists with landscaping work for Habitat for Humanity. Monthly meetings at different sites feature speakers on various topics such as composting, ecology, flower arranging, etc. Offers garden tours(June) and fundraiser(December) on alternating years.
