Treatment Family Foster Care (TFFC) is a research-informed, multi-tiered team approach to rebuilding family relationships. We work with children and teens who need high levels of support due to trauma they have experienced in their homes or communities. Each youth is carefully matched to foster parents and a treatment plan specific to the needs of the youth is developed. Our foster parents are provided enhanced trauma-informed training, and wraparound services to ensure the placement is secure until permanency is achieved.

• Offers an emergency food cupboard.

• Provides individuals with a safe, clean home with well-balanced nutritious meals, and the opportunity to develop independent living skills.

• Investigates abuse, exploitation, neglect (by self or caretakers) for adults.

• Offers a non-religious support group for recovering alcoholics and addicts, serves as an alternative to twelve step substance abuse groups.

• Provides short-term crisis intervention services to help reduce emergency admissions through early crisis intervention, as an alternative to calling the police or driving to a psychiatric emergency room when an individual is in crisis. Services provided by the team will include: Crisis triage and assessment, stabilization and referral linkage. Travel to homes, schools, work-sites and other locations in Nassau County.

• Administers the Sheriff's department services and accepts non-emergency calls.
• Administers the county jail.
• Provides Sheriff's ID cards
• Provides Child ID program.
• Provides pistol permit applications.
