The Family Support Team is dedicated to promoting mental health and improving the lives of family members or significant others through advocacy education, reassurance and support.

NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 8-session class for families, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. The course is designed to facilitate a better understanding of mental health conditions, increase coping skills and empower participants to become advocates for their family members.

Provides three residential treatment facilities exclusively for veterans struggling with chemical dependency, post-traumatic stress disorder and other life challenges. They are located in Manhattan, Richmond Hill, Queens, and Ellenville NY. The Ellenville facility is dedicated to female veterans and offers gender-specific treatment at a safe and encouraging environment for women veterans. Also operates the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) which provides community-based housing assistance and support services for at-risk veterans and their families. These services include temporary financial assistance, housing counseling, legal service referrals, daily living services, personal financial planning and transportation services.

Provides opportunities for children and youth to develop individual and group initiative and responsibility, self-reliance, courage, personal fitness, discipline and other desirable qualities of character through participation in a wide range of organized recreational, educational and civic activities under the leadership of qualified adult volunteers. Course work includes 24 core credits in educational administration and a 400-hour, hands-on internship in a school business office, enabling students to hone their business acumen. Candidates for this program must possess a master’s degree and have an appropriate career background and aspirations.
