Growing together is a two-part program. The program provides for parents and children to play together while socializing with others. Parents are also provided a time to develop a social network in which to discuss issues, questions, concerns and receive support and information. 15 children are allowed per session.

The 2024-2025 HEAP Clean and Tune benefit opened on October 1, 2024. Eligible households can receive energy efficiency services, which includes the cleaning of primary heating equipment, but may also include chimney cleaning, minor repairs, installation of carbon monoxide detectors or programmable thermostats, if needed, to allow for the safe, proper, and efficient operation of the heating equipment. Benefit amounts are based on the actual cost incurred to provide clean and tune services, up to a maximum of $500. No additional HEAP cash benefits are available. Call for detailed information.

Program provides furniture to those in need. Furniture comes from local organizations, businesses, and individuals. Individuals taking furniture need their own transportation and help in lifting items. No appliances or mattresses are available. Bed frames may be available.

Responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating the system of aqueducts, reservoirs, channels, pipelines, mains, laterals, curb boxes, and pumping and purifying equipment by which the community's water supply is obtained, treated, stored, and distributed to consumers in the City of Albany. Responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the pipes, drains, and manholes that constitute the sewage collection system which transports liquid waste to treatment facilities.

Offers support services to community members in financial crisis, including provision of food, pet food, clothing, household items, medical equipment exchange, limited prescription assistance, and medical transportation assistance. Other services include a monthly Mobile Food Pantry (open to anyone), budgeting assistance/financial education, and more. Will work to meet other needs where support is not available in the community. Provides backpacks filled with school supplies each year to low income children, K-6th grade, while supplies last. The Angel Action Holiday Christmas Program provides clothing and gifts for children of all ages through a shopping event open to parents and grandparents.

Provides child care referrals, child care subsidies, provider training and career counseling, administers child and adult care food program, registrar for family day care and school age programs, enrollment of legally exempt child care providers, and technical assistance to employers regarding child care services.

Offers assistance in enrolling NY State of Health Official Health Plan Marketplace, answers questions about Medicaid eligibility, and helps individuals and families select health plans, such as Medicaid, qualified and essential health plans, and Child Health Plus.

Offers social skills and recreation program that offers a recreational environment for children and adolescents who need opportunities for social interaction beyond what is available through school setting or community recreation programs.

Prepares and collects property taxes for residents of the Town of Edinburg from January through March 31st. After March 31st all paperwork goes to the Fulton County Treasurer's Office.

Bare Hill Correctional Facility is a medium security state prison for males inmates located in Franklin County.

Provides access to birth, marriage and death certificates, dog licenses, handicap parking permits and planning permits.

Provides early intervention services to preschoolers who show signs of stuttering. Program intends to prevent stuttering from developing into a full blown, chronic life debilitating problem. Call for further information.

Investigates all reported allegations of fraud in the Temporary Assistance, SNAP, Medicaid, HEAP, and Day Care programs. Also investigates day care providers being paid by Social Services who do not really provide care and cases involving food stamp trafficking. Does not investigate Social Security, Disability, Workman's Comp, Unemployment, or Section 8.

Offers space to the public for recreational use. Most parks provide picnic pavilions, trails and playgrounds and follow a carry-in, carry-out policy for trash.

Provides affordable housing, intensive skills training and ongoing support to individuals with a severe and persistent mental illness. Intends to be transitional in nature and is designed to improve an individual's community living skills level to the point where they are able to move on to a more independent housing option.

A family-driven service in which caregivers partner with a Family Peer Advocate who has lived experience helping parents navigate systems more effectively, learn from the experiences of other families, decrease isolation, and gain hope, ideas, and information. Families can enroll in one or all of the following service components to best meet their needs:

• Individual Mentoring & Skills Development: Can be delivered in the home, community and/or office. A Family Peer Advocate provides mentoring, skills development, support, and information on community resources and linkage to other services.

• Family Advocacy: This service is short term and provides instruction, support, and advocacy in areas such as School and Committee of Special Education (CSE), court (preparedness and support), and systems navigation (working with providers in various systems of care).

• Parent Education & Empowerment Groups: Trainings and support groups that provide information on community resources, parent connections, and skills development. Offers opportunities for parents/caregivers to connect and build natural community supports with other parents/caregivers facing similar challenges.

Helps low-income residents with weather-proof repairs to their homes, in order to make their homes more energy and heat efficient by checking doors, windows, boilers, etc.

Delivery service to residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes.

A 68-bed inpatient residential medically supervised treatment facility. Provides 24-hour care to men and women who need support, counseling, observation, nursing, and medical care to achieve initial stabilization from drug and/or alcohol withdrawal. Typical stays are 7-14 days with possible extended stay to 28 days for co-occurring mental health or medical disorders. Supportive services offered to enrolled patients include individual, group, and family counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, drug screening, education regarding addiction and disease management, health education, suboxone treatment, continued medication assisted treatment, medical evaluation and follow up as needed, self-help involvement, relapse prevention, overdose prevention education, and discharge planning. ##REENTRY##

Encourages the creation and appreciation of the visual arts. Activities include monthly meetings with demonstrations, lectures, critiques, morning sketch groups, workshops in various media, exhibits, newsletters, and other events, many which are geared toward raising funds for the Scholarship Fund. Provides religious services, religious activities, Sunday School for toddlers through 8th grade, outreach programs and community action groups.

Provides free confidential counseling, education and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault, including a 24 hour hotline. Support services also include accompaniment at the hospital or to the police, etc. Helps anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault, no matter if it occurred recently or years ago.
