Provides services to the public using currently accepted dental hygiene procedures to provide optimum care for each patient. The Radiology Department utilizes up to date technology in all radiologic procedures including routine radiographs, panoramic and digital radiography. All treatment provided in our facility is supervised by registered dental hygienists and dentists employed by the State University of New York. The Dental Hygiene Care Center follows all CDC and ADA guidelines to keep our students, faculty, staff and the public safe. Services Include: Complete Medical History; Oral Cancer Screening; Blood Pressure Screening; Home Care Instruction; Dental Nutritional Counseling; Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy; Scaling, including quadrant scaling; Periodontal Screening; Root Planing; Selective Polishing; Fluoride Treatment; Periodontal Maintenance Therapy; Pit and Fissure Sealant Application; Radiographs/Digital Radiography and Tooth Whitening. The services of the Dental Hygiene Care Center are made available to the public at a nominal fee. The fees collected for services are used to defray the costs of operation of the Care Center. Septic tank reimbursement program helps to cover the cost to residential or commercial property owners for pump-out and/or inspection of separate sewage disposal systems on property in Westchester County Sewer Districts and which are subject to sewer taxes. The program is effective from September 3, 2008 until September 2, 2014. Reimbursement amounts: For sewage disposal system pump-out: Once every 3 years, if qualified, up to $300 For sewage disposal system inspection: Once every 6 years, if qualified, up to $275 Note: The reimbursement will not exceed the cost of the pump-out and/or inspection.

The Human Services Division provides families and individuals with services that will enhance the ability of families to live together, enable individuals to remain in their homes, minimize the risk of abuse or neglect, and provide for specialized care in residential settings when necessary.

Perishable and non-perishable food is purchased/donated from large and small commercial food donors including retail locations, distributors, and wholesalers, as well as from food drives done by community groups, schools, and businesses. This food is then distributed to over 450 community-based member agencies throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. These agencies include food pantries, soup kitchens, and other nonprofit organizations with feeding programs.
