Shelter addressing the lack of emergency shelter options for women struggling with homelessness in Chautauqua County. Provides case management to help the women in residence address the obstacles in their lives with the goal of moving into permanent housing, access to supportive services and referrals to community resources, and rental assistance if qualified.

Studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments are available, including 2 one-bedroom handicap accessible apartments and 1 studio apartment for visual/hearing impaired residents. Offers 2-year degree and 1-year certificate programs in health sciences, business and public service, engineering and technologies, liberal arts, sciences, micro-credentials, and certificate programs including university parallel programs and transfer articulation programs that are NYS Education approved. Active support services are available for disability services, adult support groups (Pathways-ESL/EAL, GED prep, Pre-Collegiate and Education 2 Recovery), state and federal financial aid programs, workforce development & training, community education, remedial courses (math and English), tutoring services, high school equivalency program (TASC Program), childcare, and Veterans' Affairs services. ##Veteran##

This program is a peer to peer, non-crisis telephone service that provides support and encouragement.

Systemic engagement program that provides crisis intervention and works with a system of care towards crisis prevention and stabilization for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-existing mental health or behavioral health needs. Supports include a 24-hour crisis line, clinical assessment, development of a crisis plan, and integration of tools such as therapeutic coaching.

A not-for-profit public interest firm providing free legal services to low-income individuals and families in Western New York. NLS aims to create the greatest access to the justice system for low-income individuals and those living with disabilities to pursue goals that will increase both the stability and the quality of their lives. Provides civil legal services in the following areas:

• Housing (evictions, unsafe conditions, housing choice vouchers, discrimination, landlord/tenant concerns)
• Family (DV, family offense petitions, custody, visitation, divorce, child and spousal support, paternity)
• Public Benefits (temporary assistance, SNAP, Medicaid, utility shutoffs, emergency assistance, fair hearings, overpayments)
• Medical-Legal Partnership (temporary assistance, SNAP, wills, SSI, Veteran services)
• Disability (health insurance coverage issues, denial of services and equipment, SSI, SSDI, benefits advisement, overpayments, Medicaid/Medicare)

Provides emergency housing placement after hours for the Erie County Department of Social Services (ECDSS). Assesses callers with emergency housing needs to determine if their situation makes them eligible for emergency shelter provided by the County, and provides placement for clients determined to be eligible. Also provides transportation for individuals placed after hours for ECDSS by 211 WNY. Over the phone translation services used.

Support group for individuals effected by scleroderma. Provides a setting conducive to sharing concerns, information, and feelings in a confidential environment, where members provide encouragement, coping strategies, and mutual support. Meetings have both social and educational components which may include a guest speaker or DVD presentation. Patients are encouraged to attend with their caregivers and family members, allowing all to come to a better understanding of a patient’s journey with scleroderma, how this journey affects their relationships with others, and how to voice their own concerns when needed. There is no charge to attend meetings and all are welcome to attend any support group regardless of location; groups are currently meeting virtually. Solicitations and conducting research during meetings are prohibited.

Provides seamless services for foster families and adoptive families of children 0-21 years old, including initial training, certification for foster parents, ongoing training, permanency planning, therapeutic support, medical support and training, in-house clinical team, and weekly face-to-face contact for guidance and support. Resources are offered to assist in the transition of a child entering the foster family's home, both pre-and post-adoption. Additional services provided by on-staff driver/transporter, skill builders, nursing team who provide support for all children placed in care and their foster families, specializing in care for medically therapeutic and high risk children. Staff have experience in the foster care system and/or as foster parents themselves, and are aware of the supports needed to succeed. Post Adoption and post guardianship/kinship services are available through the GA Regional Permanency Center (RPC) provided by OCFS grants. Additional programs include children’s Health Homes, and Chautauqua County based Accountability and Responsibility Program for at risk teens and Family Time Visitation services. Additional services provided by on-staff driver/transporter, skills builder, and nurse, who provides support for all children placed in care and their foster families, specializing in care for medically fragile and high risk children. Staff have experience in the foster care system and/or as foster parents themselves, and are aware of the supports needed to succeed.

An option for low-income, disabled persons in the community to rent safe, quality housing with the option of single, two, and three bedrooms for families. Affordable Housing is based on income and does not provide services. Complexes are located in Dunkirk, Olean, and South Dayton.

Assists those in need of personal care to acquire services.

Provides information, referral, and advocacy for children who may require health or related services of a type or amount beyond that typically required by children. Case management is also provided which can connect families to appropriate services in the community. Services include: accessing health insurance for the child; aid in determining if the child may be eligible for Medicaid under new State programs, or in some cases, SSI benefits; assistance in obtaining medical services or equipment at home; providing advocacy with other service providers to ensure quality of care for the child; developing a support network.

Social model adult day services. Provides assistance with personal care, nutrition services, transportation and escort services, case management, and structured activity program.

Medical care provided to veterans and those enrolled in the Department of Veterans Affairs health care system. Provides outpatient health care including preventative health maintenance, behavioral health, screenings, immunizations, and more. Affiliated with VA Western New York Healthcare System in Buffalo. ##Veteran##

Summer camp offering sessions of various lengths with themes such as arts and crafts, cooking, STEM activities, improvisation, and game shows. The theme for 2020 will be "Team Work, Together Everyone Achieves More". Camp locations include Lockport and Wheatfield, and program includes breakfast, lunch (Lockport only), snack, and a t-shirt.

Program is designed as a practical approach to help parents be more positive with their children and to use more effective discipline. Program consists of six two-hour group sessions led by a facilitator and parent trainer. Parents are taught skills that help them encourage positive behavior, discourage negative behavior, and teach alternatives to problem behavior.

Offers the following programs: Two-Year-Old Play Group: Meets once a week to help children learn basic socialization skills through free play, arts and crafts, circle time, and snack time. A "first experience" for children to be away from their primary care giver and develop a sense of independence. Three-Year-Old Preschool (child must be 3 by 12/1): Meets twice weekly to reinforce basic socialization skills and promote positive classroom behavior through free play, arts and crafts, songs, finger plays, snack time, and physical activities. Focus is on helping children develop a love of learning by introducing basic literacy and math concepts in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Gym class and swimming lessons are included during class time. Four-Year-Old Preschool (child must be 4 by 12/1): Meets daily and brings together out-of-district 4 year-olds with Batavia City School district UPK students. Socialization skills and proper classroom behavior is reinforced through free play, arts and crafts, songs, snack time, and physical activities. In addition to daily gross-motor activities, gym class is offered once a week and swimming lessons are conducted twice a week during class time. Emphasizes kindergarten preparation in a fun hands-on learning environment.

Provides services for children in need of a temporary home until their parents gain enough stability in their lives to have them returned. The Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) is strictly adhered to.
