Primary grade level students engage in a series of classroom presentations to develop healthy social emotional skills such as tolerance, respect, communication, decision making, personal safety, and conflict resolution. Program services are provided in two curriculum formats: Too Good For Violence and Teaching Kids to Care. For students needing additional support, Ripple Effects is an individualized computer based program which covers non-academic issues that may be getting in the way of school success.

Mental health mobile outreach team providing assistance in obtaining housing, case management, mental health counseling, psychiatric evaluations, and placement into Shelter Plus Care housing units. Provides services to individuals with both substance abuse and mental health disorders (MICA). Operates supported housing units for homeless individuals with psychiatric disorders.

Provides access to capital, technical assistance, business training, and referral services for minority- and women-owned businesses. Program assists each applicant to evaluate the effectiveness of their business operations, view their business from an external perspective, and access technical assistance tailored to the specific needs of the business operating model.

Provides spiritual and personal counseling for inmates as requested. Provides after-incarceration guidance through a local church discipleship program. Offers weekly Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, weekly Bible Studies, a Clean Sober Saved program, and chapel services for men and women. Strength focused intensive therapeutic intervention for families with an adolescent member exhibiting behavior problems in multiple areas. Services are provided in the home, school, and community. MST works to empower parents while diverting court involvement and preventing out of home placement. Effective at helping youth ages 12-17 who are at risk of PINS for:

• Truancy and school problems
• Disrespect and disobedience
• Aggressive behavior
• Criminal behavior
• Drug and alcohol problems
• Running away
• Family conflict

A confidential peer-support and information line that connects residents living with mental health and substance abuse issues with trained Peer Companions who can offer non-judgmental empathetic conversation and help callers find helpful resources in Erie County or, if requested, set up face-to-face visits with a Peer Bridger. Warm Line is for informational and peer-support purposes only. Service is not intended to replace consultation with a mental health provider.

An education and awareness program for separated and/or divorced parents and significant others who want to reduce conflict and parent effectively for their children. Topics covered include the impact of separation/divorce on children, cooperative and parallel approaches to co-parenting, legal issues related to custody and/or access, alternatives to litigation, and methods of communication and problem-solving. Sessions are scheduled based on groups' needs and availability.

An outreach program that provides services to pregnant and/or parenting teens (mothers and fathers, including their caregivers) attending Buffalo Public Schools. Coordinates support services by forming links between families, community agencies, and schools. Also provides resource services and information that supports the physical, social, and emotional development of both the student and the child. Services provided include:

• Resources pertaining to pregnancy, child rearing, and home life, including referrals to community organizations that specialize in working with pregnant and parenting teens
• Assistance with completing and submitting important paperwork, such as for family court, paternity, child support or day care vouchers, and BPS pre-school applications
• Assistance with scheduling and keeping medical appointments
• Help with academic needs, including home instruction and tutoring programs
• Monitoring of academic and career goal paths and achievement
• School and home visitation
• Provision of new and gently used baby items

Provides supplemental food to low income individuals and families meeting governmental poverty guidelines.

Democratically run supportive living for persons in recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction. Use of drugs or alcohol, disruptive behavior, and non-payment of rent are causes for dismissal from the house.

Provides legal representation for individuals whose federal disability benefits have been denied or discontinued.

Provides services for job seeking, skills training, job development, job placement, information and referral, and job coaching as appropriate and necessary.

A decision-making committee to determine eligibility and the appropriate level of services for preschool children aged 3-5. The CPSE is a multidisciplinary team established to conduct meetings to develop, review, or revise the Individual Education Program (IEP) of a student with a disability. The parent or legal guardian is included as a member of the committee.

Provides OB/GYN, midwifery care, adult medicine, primary care, pediatric, lab draw station, x-ray, ultrasound, and podiatry services.

A CCBHC is a community-based clinic that offers integrated mental health and substance use care, along with crisis services and care coordination. Instead of navigating multiple systems, individuals can receive support through a single, connected team. Provides comprehensive mental health and substance use services for children, adolescents, adults, and families, all in one place. Services include but are not limited to:

• Individual, family, and group counseling
• Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
• Substance use treatment, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
• Integrated mental health and substance use care
• Crisis support, including walk-in and same-day services when available
• Care coordination and peer support
• Trauma-informed, evidence-based therapies

Translation services and telehealth services available.

Provides a safe and welcoming environment to help people in all stages of recovery and their families reclaim their lives. Offers a wide range of personalized services to promote healthy lifestyles, from support groups and life skills training to nutrition seminars and exercise classes. Offers a holistic approach that supports multiple pathways to recovery, where each member's journey can be personalized to fit his or her needs. People in all stages of recovery are welcome, and there are many ways to get involved. ##REENTRY##

Offers support group, classes, and baby supplies such as Pack 'n Play (after one hour of Safe Sleep Training), baby care supplies, clothes, food, resources and bus passes for doctor appointments. Weekly support groups for parents and guardians. Nurse on-site to support pregnant and new moms. Also hosts Baby Cafe, a free, drop-in, informal breastfeeding support groups offering ongoing professional lactation care and intervention.
