Provides small, individualized class environments for students who are deaf, hard of hearing, have communication disorders, and/or have multiple disabilities. Provides a Language Rich Environment (LRE) utilizing American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken and written English. Instruction follows New York State Education Department standards. Related services, including Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapies, and counseling are available. Audiological services such as hearing tests and minor device repair (hearing aids, cochlear implants, BaHa’s, etc.) are provided on-site by a licensed audiologist. Classes in Art, Computer Technologies, Drama, Journalism, and Music are also offered. St. Mary’s has a strong after-school program that includes tutoring, sports and community-based activities. A five-day residential program is available.

Provides secure, recovery oriented living environments for individuals with psychiatric disabilities. Committed to assisting clients to live meaningful, productive lives by providing flexible supports in a person-centered atmosphere. Residents of all programs learn the skills necessary to live independently. Treatment Apartments are certified by the New York State Office of Mental Health and provide consumers with the highest level of independence. Staff make routine visits and are available 24 hours a day in case of an emergency. Provides 12 one-bedroom apartments.

Provides re-entry services to justice-involved individuals ages 18-24 living in the City of Buffalo or Erie County. Services include job readiness training, job placement assistance, resume and interview preparation, tuition assistance to SUNY Erie, and occupational skills trainings. All services are free of charge to participants. ##REENTRY##

After school programming for boys and girls ages 5 to 18 in five core program areas, outlined below. Character Leadership Development: Empowers youth to support and influence their Club and community, sustain meaningful relationships with others, develop a positive self-image, participate in a democratic process, and respect their own and others' cultural identities. Education and Career Development: Enables youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, apply learning to everyday situations, and embrace technology to optimize employability. Health and Life Skills: Develops young people's capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals, and develop the competencies to live successfully as self-sufficient adults. The Arts: Enables youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of visual and tactile arts and crafts, performing arts, and creative writing. Sports, Fitness, and Recreation: Develops fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment, and social and interpersonal skills.

Offers programs designed to help individuals achieve healthier lifestyles, including fitness/exercise, nutrition counseling, stress management, spiritual health, smoking cessation, and self-help. Monthly special events focus on variety of health issues. Must have a diagnosis of a mental illness to be eligible for services. Tours for prospective members offered on Wednesday afternoons.

Provides group day habilitation for developmentally disabled persons. Transportation available.

Mobilizes the community to improve the lives of individuals and families. Programs are focused in four priority areas: academic success, work readiness, self-sufficiency, and health and independence. Currently, $1.3 million is invested in 46 programs coordinated by 37 community partner agencies. Directly coordinates the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program for Chautauqua County and facilitates the Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative (ESPRI) for the City of Jamestown. Also supports the 211 WNY information and referral program.

Provides primary care services. Endocrinology services provided on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Provides a starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active and developing healthy habits. Offers opportunities to learn new sports, build positive relationships, and develop good sportsmanship and teamwork. Youth programs include indoor soccer, basketball, floor hockey, golf, flag football, and preschool sports programs, along with the YMCA Canal Club which provides opportunities to bike, hike, kayak, and snowshoe throughout the year.

Provides assistance to individuals with an urgent need for food, personal care items, prescriptions, or other needs due to an unforeseen emergency. Offers Our Kids Parent Education Groups for separated/divorced parents and significant others who want to reduce conflict and parent effectively for their children.
