Provides mental health and psychiatric medication management services for children, adolescents, and adults provided by NYS licensed therapists. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are available for consultation and medication management for clients enrolled in therapy. Therapists specialize in providing counseling for people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, sexual abuse, adjustment issues, family conflict, school problems, issues related to divorce, adoption, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ issues, and other mental health diagnoses. Therapists are trained in evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Mental health services are also provided for adults and children who have a mental health disorder as a primary diagnosis and who may have a concurrent substance abuse disorder which is stabilized or in early remission. Collaborates with established OASAS licensed treatment providers to ensure that the mental health treatment needs of recovering substance abuse clients are met, to provide support for the clients' recovery process, and to minimize symptoms and the potential for psychiatric decompensation, psychiatric hospitalization, or relapse of substance abuse. Provides in-office and telehealth appointments--when clinically appropriate. All initial appointments must be completed in person.

Offers a dynamic facility where faculty, staff and students evaluate and treat communication disorders in infants, children and adults. The Speech Center offers both evaluation and treatment services in the areas of speech, language and hearing primarily by student clinicians from the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The Center is staffed with licensed and experienced professionals, certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association who work closely with the student clinicians. Community Oriented Policing COP combats crime and strengthens the community. The program provides crime prevention and crime control initiative involving community residents of all ages. COP stresses crime reduction and enhanced public safety as vital elements to improving the quality of life in Ulster County.

Helps older adults to keep track and make connections to the resources in the area. Also offers counseling with the various issues which affect the elderly, specifically, such as maintaining a house, home care, security, etc.

Offered as an alternative to abandoning a newborn, new mothers may bring their infant directly to Safe Haven within the first five days after birth. Under state law the parent is free from prosecution for abandonment. Third parties may bring the baby to the hospital. No questions will be asked. Confidential counseling for the new mothers also available.

New York State Commission for the Blind's (NYSCB) Business Enterprise Program (BEP) offers opportunities for individuals who are blind to gain the training and skills necessary to manage one of several vending facilities located in Federal and state office buildings throughout the state. After completing an intensive training program, BEP managers become proficient in all aspects of retail management including purchasing products, controlling inventory, marketing products, maintaining good customer relations, and keeping accurate records.
