Guthrie Cortland Medical Center provides safe needle collection services to individuals in the local community who use hypodermic needles to dispense medications in their homes.Please note that Guthrie Cortland Medical Center does not distribute needle collection containers to the public. In order to be accepted, all needles must be placed in a rigid, puncture resistant container with a sealed lid. A detergent container is adequate, as long as it has a lid that is securely on the container. The outside container must also be clean and dry.
