Multipurpose centers that serve as focal points for older adults in the community and which offer, at a single location, a wide variety of services and activities that are needed by and of interest to this population.

Provides assistance enrolling eligible individuals in Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care applications for Aged, Blind and Disabled. Additional help is provided navigating the health insurance marketplace for people not eligible for state health insurance options.

Offers sixteen-hour sailing course for ages 10 and up, including lessons and practice in basic sailing, safety and seamanship. Offers similar sixteen hour course for adults only (ages sixteen and up). Also offers windsurfing lessons for individuals ages twelve-adult of all experience levels in twelve hours of class over a two week period. Requires that all sailing/boating/windsurfing students know how to swim. Offers beginner/intermediate waterskiing instruction (including wakeboarding and tubing) to students ages ten and up in four separate twelve hour sessions from which to choose. The Hudson Valley Justice Center offers direct representation and advice to low income residents of the Hudson Valley. The office focuses on the following areas of law: Eviction defense and other landlord-tenant disputes, domestic violence, Benefits hearings for eligible citizens, Immigration, Family Law Matters.

Oversees filing, recording and storing official documents and acts as agent for state and federal governments for passports, pistol permits, and sporting licenses. The County Clerk is the County Registrar and Clerk of the Supreme and County Courts.

Provides meeting space for Al-Anon, Explorer Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Sponsors the Grace Day School for preschoolers Monday-Friday.

Free multi-hour training for Volunteer Mediators. Commitment averages one hour per week. If accepted into program, must commit to volunteering for a minimum of 2 years. (CASA handles their own volunteer training in Putnam County, but DRC handles CASA training for the other three counties listed below.)

The Legal Department is responsible for all litigation by or against the Department of Social Services including: Article 78 Proceedings, Article 81 Proceedings and Administrative Hearings. Provides legal advice to all other units of the Agency. Prepares and processes contracts entered into by the Agency. The Fair Hearings Unit subdivision of the Legal Dept. represents the Agency in administrative reviews requested by public assistance applications/recipients who request case reviews.
