LINK is an intensive, short-term crisis intervention program that provides assistance to families in crisis by helping to stabilize their family life and facilitating linkages to therapeutic resources in the community for ongoing support. The program uses a psycho educational approach that includes cognitive, behavioral, and client-centered approaches. Promotes and encourages improved family and individual functioning by teaching families necessary skills to remain together and prevent psychiatric hospitalization for children and adolescents in Suffolk County. Referrals are accepted primarily through Suffolk's Children's Mobile Crisis Team and Stony Brook University Hospital CPEP (Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program). LINK can also be accessed from all Suffolk County Emergency Rooms and through WellLife Network directly and Suffolk County Mental Health Clinics.

Offers a 60-hour training program created to assist entrepreneurs with starting or expanding their businesses. The Entrepreneurial Assistance program offers entrepreneurial training courses as well as technical and management seminars to those who are interested in starting or expanding their own businesses. Special efforts are made to recruit and select minorities, women, dislocated workers and persons with disabilities. The ten week program is designed for client entrepreneurs to interact in sixty hours business courses and seminars. Each class is three hours in duration. Client entrepreneurs receive one-on-one counseling, assistance with packaging business loans, mentor support, peer group support and a Small Business Resource Guide. A major requirement of the grant is the successful completion of a business plan by the participants. The Entrepreneurial Assistance Center is located in the Sally Ann Slacke Center on the Michel J.
