Assists individuals who are dealing with illness of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder. Treatment services provided include: health screening, coordination of care with medical doctor, psychosocial evaluation, psychiatric evaluation, nutritional assessment, psycho-educational groups, weight monitoring, group therapy, meal planning, individual therapy, family therapy, medication education, stress management, supportive meal and snacks. Support group available for people with eating disorders, as well as family and friends. Meets the first Monday of every month from 7:00pm-8:30pm. LINK is an intensive, short-term crisis intervention program that provides assistance to families in crisis by helping to stabilize their family life and facilitating linkages to therapeutic resources in the community for ongoing support. The program uses a psycho educational approach that includes cognitive, behavioral, and client-centered approaches. Promotes and encourages improved family and individual functioning by teaching families necessary skills to remain together and prevent psychiatric hospitalization for children and adolescents in Suffolk County. Referrals are accepted primarily through Suffolk's Children's Mobile Crisis Team and Stony Brook University Hospital CPEP (Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program). LINK can also be accessed from all Suffolk County Emergency Rooms and through WellLife Network directly and Suffolk County Mental Health Clinics.

The emphasis of the weekend is on the communication between husbands and wives. The weekend provides a conducive environment for husbands and wives to spend time together, away from the distractions and tensions of everyday life, while encouraging them to focus on each other and their relationship. It's not a retreat, marriage clinic, group sensitivity, or a substitute for counseling. It's a unique approach aimed at revitalizing marriage. ALL married couples are welcome regardless of religious or non-religious affiliation. Separated or unmarried couples are welcome to call, and will be given information of other possible workshops that are more suited to their situation.

These items are kept in stock to be used for home construction and repairs or are placed in the habitat store and warehouse to be sold at bargain prices.

Offers a 60-hour training program created to assist entrepreneurs with starting or expanding their businesses. The Entrepreneurial Assistance program offers entrepreneurial training courses as well as technical and management seminars to those who are interested in starting or expanding their own businesses. Special efforts are made to recruit and select minorities, women, dislocated workers and persons with disabilities. The ten week program is designed for client entrepreneurs to interact in sixty hours business courses and seminars. Each class is three hours in duration. Client entrepreneurs receive one-on-one counseling, assistance with packaging business loans, mentor support, peer group support and a Small Business Resource Guide. A major requirement of the grant is the successful completion of a business plan by the participants. The Entrepreneurial Assistance Center is located in the Sally Ann Slacke Center on the Michel J. Information and counseling is provided about different types of government programs, including federal and state financial assistance programs, and county-wide benefits. You can meet one-on-one with a trained counselor at one of our library-based locations. Spanish interpreter can be made available by appointment.
