Monitors new building conditions and construction and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Enforces the state and local building codes and housing standards and ordinances. Crisis Chat is a program of Family and Children's Service of the Capital Region in partnership with CONTACT USA and funded by the New York State Office of Mental Health. Anyone who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, family stressors, abuse, financial issues, etc. may talk anonymously online with Crisis Chat counselors, who are ready to listen.

Assists seniors in resolving conflicts that include but are not limited to estate planning, medical care, loss of independence, and family relationships. Also assists in senior housing/tenant issues. There is no fee.

Provides education and tools that help people make smarter financial decisions that will improve their lives and strengthen their futures, at no cost to the organization and/or the employee, and clients. The program focuses on corporations, agencies and organizations, including those organizations that serve people with disabilities, seniors and domestic violence victims.

Provides detailed environmental analysis of all proposed projects and makes specific recommendations to the Town Board. Develops and implements environmental improvement and protection projects including erosion control, wildlife habitat improvement, drainage projects, shellfish seeding programs, woodland restoration, and public awareness programs on the need for recycling.

Chambers Court offers 72 cottage-style, single-story apartments for seniors 55 and older with low or moderate incomes.

Offers parenting education to new expectant parents. Classes include education about pregnancy and parenting and life skills to help new parents through the pregnancy and to introduce them to parenthood. Participants earn points for each class or skill completed that can be used to purchase new or gently used items for the new baby.

Albany Medical Center's Patient Relations Department will assist families in finding temporary housing while their family member is undergoing treatment.

Provides financial help for child care needs to working families who do not earn enough to be in the median income range based on government standards.

Handles legal matters including civil, criminal, small claims, and eviction cases within the Village of Minoa.

Offers gardening education and information through trained volunteers. Individuals can become a Master Gardener by taking a 10-week course on horticulture.

Provides inpatient and outpatient mental health assessments and treatment for depression, psychiatric disorders, etc.

Set up to conduct investigations, prosecute those who engage in violent acts against persons related to them or with whom they have an ongoing relationship spouse, boy/girlfriend, child, to prosecute those who physically and or sexually abuse children, and to investigate and prosecute all sex offenses regardless of the victim's age and/or relationship, or lack thereof, to the offender. It also offers support services to victims, including counseling and referral to shelters.
