This program provides community-based environments that enable students with moderate developmental disabilities to build functional academic, self-care, social/emotional, and vocational skills, including transition support and career awareness services for students at the high school level. A psychologist and social worker are also available to all students.

A supplemental food/nutrition program for women who are pregnant, postpartum and/or breast feeding and/or have children under 5 years. The program provides monthly checks to purchase selected foods in WIC-approved food markets, nutrition/health education, and referrals for health care and other services.

Provides grants of up to $35,000 to South End homeowners needing home rehabilitation to address health and safety issues or remedy code violations. Funds can also be utilized to assist with heating, electrical, and roof repair/replacement.

Offers an after school social skills groups for children and young adults with high-functioning autism and Asperger Syndrome. Groups focus on enhancing communication, play skills and awareness of feelings in oneself and others. Through skilled guidance, participants learn the specific tools necessary to make friends and play cooperatively. Young adult groups focus on learning and refining the skills necessary to develop and maintain relationships including initiating friendships, increasing connectedness with others, and building self-advocacy skills. Also offers this for adult groups when they have enough participants.

Provides support of family reunification, or concurrent planning for adoption or alternative planned living arrangements.

Identifies unserved and underserved children and adults and connects them with generic and specialized services. Bilingual staff is available to work with Hispanic families.
