Investigates reports of child abuse, neglect or abandonment; documents substantiated cases; provides for the temporary placement of children who, for their own protection, have been removed from the custody of the adults who are responsible for their care; works with families who are experiencing a problem with child abuse with the objective of facilitating continued family unification or reunification; and provides ongoing supportive services for children in permanent placement.

Provides 24 hour crisis intervention and supportive counseling to all callers in Chautauqua County. Serves as the local connection for National Suicide Prevention Hotline. Additional services include: specialized Kids' Helpline and access to mobile teams.

Provides care coordination, specialty and primary health care, HIV/AIDS specialty care, LGBTQ+ specialty care, STI/HCV testing, syringe exchange, buprenorphine program, and harm reduction program. Also provides linkage to mental health services, substance use counseling, housing assistance, nutrition assistance, and transportation assistance.

A comprehensive child development Head Start/Preschool program designed to serve income eligible children 0-5 years of age including children with disabilities and their families. Early Head Start: provides early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income infants and toddlers and their families, and pregnant women and their families. Provides early learning, care and enrichment experiences to children in an early care and education setting. Staff members also visit family homes at least twice per year.

Provides transportation to medical appointments within Wyoming County for county residents age 60 and over. Medical appointments must take place between 9am-2pm, and arrangements must be made at least 5 days in advance of the appointment.

Uses the evidence-based Incredible Years, Tuning Into Teens, and Nurturing Parenting curricula to provide education and support for parents of children ages 0-18 from a variety of languages and cultural backgrounds. Parent groups are designed to strengthen parent-child interactions, improve children's social and emotional competence, and reduce behavioral issues and related harsh discipline. All groups are free and open to the public and led by NYSPEP Credentialed Parenting Educators. Fall, Spring, and Summer sessions offered in both online and in-person formats. These groups offer parents and caregivers an opportunity to share, learn, and connect with one another to discuss challenges, problem-solve, learn how to build healthier family relationships, and promote more successful social, emotional, and academic outcomes for their children. Individualized family sessions also available. Both referrals and walk-ins welcome. Spaces limited to 14 participants per group.

Between the Supportive Housing Program and the Medicaid Redesign Team, 55 individuals are provided permanent supportive housing in scattered-site apartments throughout Erie County. Clients receive assistance with apartment searching, linkages to community resources, and independent community living skills. ##REENTRY##

Recruits, trains, and supports foster parents including those providing therapeutic foster care in kinship homes, traditional two parent homes, single parent homes, same-sex couple homes, and racially diverse homes. Services include the following:

• Offers emergency support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Offers monitored visitation with birth family.
• Offers Licensed Social Worker and Mental Health professionals as well as case managers.
• Offers support groups and training to Foster Parents as well as respite (babysitting) if needed and assistance in all areas of care.
• Provides psychiatric services when needed.
• Practices and trains in trauma informed and trauma sensitive environments and approaches.

Offers a comprehensive range of services designed to cater to the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities. Key services include:

• Community & Day Services: Community Habilitation, Site Based Day Habilitation, Day Habilitation Without Walls (WOW), Supplemental Day Habilitation (iLearn)
• Employment Services: Community Pre-Vocational Services, SEMP (Supported Employment)

Provides internal medicine for adults. Additional specialties and services available include podiatry, dermatology, social work to assist with non-medical issues, on-site blood draw, and other laboratory specimen collection on-site. Residency teaching program in conjunction with the State University of Buffalo.

Specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric difficulties. Both individual and family oriented treatment is available. Psychiatric services and medication evaluation offered as needed, as are assistance with school-related issues and referral/linkage to appropriate community services in the area. Challenges addressed include anxiety, depression, grief, bullying, developmental disabilities, shyness, domestic violence, sexuality, communication difficulties, parenting, nightmares, anger, abuse, bipolar disorder, step-families and divorce, problems sleeping, trauma, and co-occurring disorders.
