Provides a transitional safe living environment for homeless youth, giving them the opportunity to pursue goals, learn life skills that are necessary for self sufficiency. Participants pay nominal monthly rent, and must be employed and in school, or taking part in an internship or volunteer placement.

Provides home-based and group-based parenting education to families in Ulster County and Orange County. Strengthen and support families by enhancing their nurturing skills. Family Educators offer home visits with parents and children at times that are conducive for learning. Provide supportive modeling and coaching of effective parenting skills, using a variety of resources, including the evidence-based Nurturing Parenting Program curriculum. Help families to enjoy being together, lower stress levels, increase children cooperation, discipline without yelling or hitting and promote healthy communication for all family members.

Provides a discrete health clinic for teens, school and sport physicals, treatment for sports injuries, STD screening, birth control, pregnancy testing, and confidential counseling and discussion of personal issues.

Offers Pre-K five mornings or five afternoons a week. Grades 1 through 8 are full days. Offers Kindergarten extended days. Serves grades Pre-K-8th.

The Veteran Resource Center is here to do just that, by assisting Adelphi’s veterans, active duty military students and related community. Bill benefits or any other veterans affairs program benefits can apply and enroll in any of our associate, bachelor’s, certificate, master’s or doctoral programs, and you will have access to our many resources that are available. Provides an alternative to residential placement for emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. The day program provides a full range of treatment services for the child and family, including group therapy. An individualized education curriculum, remedial training and vocational preparation are also part of the program from the on-site campus.

Serves to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk by providing breastfeeding support, information on healthy eating, nutritious foods to supplement diets, and referrals to health care. SCDHS WIC clinics are co-located within Sun River Health Centers & Northwell Family Health Center. Call for detailed information regarding programs and services offered.

Offers a variety of activities and programs for seniors in the community, giving them an opportunity to socialize, have fun and learn new things.

Nursing care and rehabilitation facility provides long and short term care for those in need of 24 hour nursing care due to chronic illness, injury or advancing age. Physical, occupational and speech therapies are provided, as well as respite and hospice care.

Promotes and unifies the retail commercial, service and industrial businesses of Mastic as well as the professional leaders and institutions of the community. Advances community interests through study, research and legislative advocacy. Invests in the economic growth and development of the community. Meetings are 2nd Monday of each month at 7pm with location listed in the newsletter.

Provides programs for substance abuse, domestic violence, and HIV Prevention, anger management, conflict resolution and workshop series.

Food pantry

Continuing to strive to meet the needs of district residents with a variety of worthwhile courses, workshops and seminars. Sample semester courses include: Basketball for Men, Belly Dance, Ceramics, Crochet, Economics, Financial Workshop, French Travel, Hatha Yoga, How to Work with Google Drive, Intermediate Italian, Introduction to Computers Using Microsoft Office, Knitting, Microsoft Office Advanced, Pickleball, Photography, Soccer for Men (indoor), Small Business Administrative Help, Beginner Spanish, Intermediate/Advanced Spanish, Stretch and Tone with Essentrics, Tai Chi Chi Kung, Watercolor and Zumba Gold. Also offered are Seminars/Food for Thought programs which include: How to Excel in Interviews, It’s Not What You Say – It’s How You Say It, Navigating the Medicare Landscape, Savvy IRA Planning for Baby Boomers and Social Security Planning. Please note: senior citizen discounts do not apply to seminars. There are also courses offered through Western Suffolk BOCES, including Adult Basic Education (GED) and classes in English as a Second Language. Course offerings vary each semester. Assists clients who are on Medicaid who has two or more chronic conditions, or one active mental health diagnosis, or HIV/AIDS. The program's goal is to improve clients' quality of life while keeping them engaged in medical care.

Offers a 12 credit certificate program that is designed to enable health and human services practitioners to apply essential counseling theory and techniques to meet client needs in a variety of institutional settings. Sample course offerings include: Principles of Counseling, Counseling Techniques; Mental Health and Crisis Intervention; Emotional/Behavioral Disturbance in Children and Youth; Child Abuse and Neglect; Alcoholism; Addictions and Dependencies; Family Counseling; Psychology of Personality and Abnormal Psychology. Offers small individual classes for 2,3, and 4 year old children as well as a Mommy and Me program for both toddlers and parents, play groups, outreach to the surrounding communities and parent workshops. Produces an agency brochure and provides a speakers bureau including topics such as self-esteem, rainy day activities, sibling rivalry and Kindergarten readiness. Offers parent membership to help with the running of the Nursery School.

Offers computer classes for local residents, of all ages, in addition has voice activated software for those individuals who may have physical limitations to reach or work the keyboard, and also the library is equipped with wireless connection.

Provides life skills training for adolescents and young adults who are at risk or struggle with mental or emotional issues.

Provides an opportunity for individuals and organizations to give back by "adopting" a child or family and purchasing toys or clothing items for the holidays. Low income families in need must apply to be recipients of this program. Call for application dates the last week of September each year.
