Aids veterans who suffer physically from chemical exposure to unknown substances while serving our country. Helps veterans who may have had some type of exposure to toxic substances and have not been able to resolve their health issue with conventional medicine. Nutritional recommendations are given after analysis.

Offers school-based and family-based approaches to preventing out-of-home placement of at-risk youth in all school districts throughout Cattaraugus County. (Families & Schools Together, Truancy Prevention, Family Group Conferencing, etc.) CPS Contract Cases: A program designed to prevent the need for future CPS involvement by engaging families who are experiencing challenges early, providing support to build family resiliency, and helping families develop neighborhood and community-based supports. Referrals are accepted from CPS county-wide. Home Visiting Program: An in-home parenting program that provides parenting skills and structure in a one-on-one setting. Program addresses safety and risk in the home and works on identifying goals within the family. Parenting Workshop: A seven-week parenting class that uses the Active Parenting model. Parenting skills are taught in classroom/group settings. Supervised Visitation: Arranged and set up such that non-custodial parents have access to their children in a safe environment. Supervised visits are utilized as a safety measure to ensure that children are safe, while also allowing parents to build relationships with their children. Parenting skills and support are provided to both the parents and the children during the visits. New Pathways to Responsible Fatherhood Initiative: The focus of the group is to promote fatherhood and the importance of being a positive male role model for children. The group is open to any male who plays a role in a child's life (Father, Step-Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Friend).

Provides a place of respite for families with hospitalized children within the Bernard & Miller Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center. Offers snacks, coffee, bagged lunches, games, books, and a television available for all visitors.

Pre-school child development program with the goal of offering a wide range of social and educational experiences to children and families which help prepare children for a successful transition into kindergarten. Center-based and home programs available.

Surrogate's Court for Orleans County. Hears cases involving the affairs of decedents, including the probate of wills and the administration of estates and all matters relating to Article 17 and Article 17-A Guardianships.

Hears cases involving vandalism, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, traffic violations, and other defenses that happen within the village or town. Accepts payments for restitution or fines ordered through the court.

Offers residents, ages 21 and over, the literacy skills needed to successfully negotiate positive outcomes for themselves and their children. Designed to meet the post-secondary education as well as the employment needs of Hempstead residents, the Adult and Community Education Program offers traditional literacy classes (ESOL, GED, ABE, Citizenship), information and support services at various sites located throughout the community. Educational case management, individual and group counseling are also offered to meet the needs of students. Referrals to other community sites operating during the day and evenings are made based on need and availability. In addition The Adult Education Program also offers Academic Intervention Services, designed to provide quality educational tutoring in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for children between the ages of 5-14 whose parents are actively enrolled and attending the Hempstead Adult and Community Education Program. AT (Assistive Technology) is an item, piece of equipment, or product system used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individual with disabilities. Loan closet includes wide range of items, devices and equipment, such as: large-handle eating utensils, handheld video magnifier, electronic magnifying glass, computer mouse controlled by head movement.

Assists with renewing and first time driver licenses, vehicle registration, road tests, replace lost titles or licenses. Also many of these tasks can be done online.

The Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance is run entirely by volunteers, so volunteer opportunities are continuously available.

Offers assistance to individuals that can no longer care for their pets by taking in the surrendered animal and putting it up for adoption to have a permanant residence.

Provides assessment services to assist individuals in vocational planning. Skills, interests, and aptitude testing are given to identify vocational strengths and weaknesses and develop job plans.
