A multi-disciplinary program providing skilled healthcare and counseling services for terminally ill patients and support to their families. The program provides pain, symptom relief and supportive care to meet the special needs arising during the final stages of illness.

Aids individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in making choices and finding individualized services. They provide help in navigating through available services including assistance with eligibility determination, service coordination, and advocacy services. Service coordination is also available to children ages birth to 3 years old who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability or delay.

Offers education and public awareness about AIDS/HIV and sexually transmitted disease, designed specifically for teenagers and young adults, also give information and referrals to resources such as HIV testing and counseling.

A free public elementary school serving students in grades K - 12, living within the district boundaries.

Provides a curriculum-based, psycho-educational group for parents of children and teens who are at risk for placement, are in placement or who have come to the attention of the Department of Social Services. Focuses on increasing parental understanding of children and teen development, enhancing parenting skills, and changing parental attitudes toward children's behaviors. Classroom and in-home consultation also provided as needed. Each class consists of a 10 week session, though some groups are longer and run up to 24 weeks. Services are provided from a trauma informed approach and uses an evidence based curriculum.

Provides a grade system of learning in a private Montessori school setting from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Offers a wide range of licensing, records, and informational services to village residents. Licensing and permits include hunting/fishing/trapping licenses, disabled parking permits, and dog licenses.

Provides financial assistance to help low-income households meet home energy costs. Regular Benefits range from $20 to $675. Amounts depend on income, age of household members, energy costs, and shelter situation. Typically it is a one-time only benefit during the program year. Emergency Benefits are available for persons who are eligible for HEAP and have an energy-related emergency, such as a power shutoff, less than tank oil, kerosene, or propane, or less than ten days' supply of wood, pellets, or coal. Applicant households must meet a resource test. Benefit amounts vary. Typically it is a one-time only benefit during the program year. Heating Equipment Repair or Replacement Benefits are available to repair or replace a furnace, boiler, or other direct heating equipment necessary to keep the home's primary heating source working. Cooling Assistance Benefits are available to purchase and install an air conditioner or a fan to help keep the home cool. To qualify, individuals must have already received a regular benefit greater than $21 and have a documented medical condition that is exacerbated by heat. Clean and Tune Benefits are available to clean the household's primary heating equipment but may also include chimney cleaning, minor repairs, installation of carbon monoxide detectors or programmable thermostats, if needed, to allow for the safe, proper, and efficient operation of the heating equipment. Benefit amounts are based on the actual cost incurred to provide clean and tune services, up to a maximum of $400. Seniors ages 60 and older can contact HEAP through the Department of Aging at 315-798-5456 to request a mail-in application.
