The Dog Control function for the Town of Cornwall is performed by the Police Department. Please contact the Town of Cornwall Police Department at (845)-534-8100 for issues pertaining to dogs. New York State requires all dogs over the age of four months to be licensed and vaccinated against rabies. Licenses may be obtained at the Town Clerk’s Office and must be renewed annually. The Town of Cornwall has a leash law. Dogs are to be leashed or confined at all times and no dog is permitted to run at large in any public place, street , avenue, road or highway.
