Advocates for alcoholism and substance abuse services in Western NY. Contracts management of local programs receiving state funds. Provides regional planning for services, regulatory oversight to all licensed drug and alcohol programs, and oversight of prevention, recovery and housing services that provide OASAS services. Does NOT service individuals.

After school program that teaches students bicycle maintenance and safety. Students also learn about the environmental benefits of non-motorized transportation. Each student is given the opportunity to fix and rebuild a previously used bicycle. At the conclusion of the program, the students ride on their bikes and can then take them home.

Serves children and adolescents with mental health and/or behavioral problems. Individual, group, and family treatment available based on the specific needs of the family. Psychiatric evaluations and medication clinic provided as needed.

6-bed supportive living residence for females who have successfully completed a substance use disorder program, allowing residents to focus on recovery, educational, vocational, and life skill goals.

Provides a safe, serene place where children, teens, and adults navigating the complexity of loss can connect through peer support groups, as well as partake in therapeutic and social activities. Offers peer support groups for mothers, fathers, and parents who have lost a child, including an adult child. Also offers a group for adults who have lost a parent. Offers peer group workshop series for adults who have lost a spouse, a loved one to substance misuse, a loved one to suicide, and those who have experienced a traumatic loss. Also promotes grief literacy and sensitivity in homes, schools and workplaces.

Senior Citizen group with monthly activities such as seminars, field trips, exercise, craft, and cooking classes. A free goodie bag will be given to each senior monthly who signs up and receive a free hot take out meal on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30pm-5:30pm at the Gerard Place Community Center.

Provides services focused on permanency for children through reunification or adoption, and advocates for each child's needs. Serves children of all backgrounds and ages, providing care from infancy through age 21. Every effort is made to place each child or group of siblings with the most appropriate foster family based on their family dynamics and unique strengths. Works throughout communities large and small to develop a diverse team of qualified foster parents. Foster care home-finding staff consists of current and/or former foster parents who recruit, train, and assist families in navigating the pre-certification process. In addition to a home-finder staff liaison, each family is provided with a caseworker who is available for ongoing support 24 hours a day. Through regular communication and quarterly home visits post-certification, staff offer guidance and resources necessary for success. Foster parents are provided a variety of training including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Solution Focused Trauma Informed Care, not only during their certification process, but throughout their time as foster parents with Gateway Longview. Therapeutic foster care services provide a family environment with intensive support services to children and youth when it is assessed that the birth family and/or other service programs cannot provide the individual care required to meet the child's needs. All services are coordinated pursuant to the earliest return of the child to its birth family.

Provides outreach, assistance, and facilitated enrollment, including in-home assistance, for individuals and families who may qualify for Food Stamps. Can assist with recertification.

Helps with clothing (sizes preemie through 4T), blankets, bibs, bottles, diapers, wipes, and basic infant care necessities.

Family Court for Genesee County. Handles most cases involving youths between 8 and 16 years old who are charged with offenses that would be crimes if committed by adults. Also hears cases involving child custody, adoption, determination of support payments, and the paternity of children. Deals with all types of family disputes except the termination of marriage which is handled exclusively by the Supreme Court.

Provides career counseling, career and technical education (day or evening), and adult literacy instruction, including high school equivalency (HSE) preparation and HSE testing. Career and technical education includes medical programs, and training in the following career roles: Practical Nurse, Nurse Aide, Phlebotomist, Dental Assistant, Machinist, Welder, Heavy Equipment Operator, etc.
