Provides free in-person tax preparation by appointment only to individuals and families with household income of $67,000 or less. Returns are prepared by IRS certified volunteers.

Provides Personal Care Level I and Personal Care Level II services. Level I services consist of assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), such as housekeeping, cooking, and shopping. Level II services consist of assistance with both IADLs and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, and moving in and out of a bed, chair, etc. Also provides personal emergency response buttons.

Services for developmentally disabled children include education, vision therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, assistive technology, adaptive equipment, wheelchair clinic, and outpatient clinic. Early Intervention provides evaluation as well as services in the home and at the Center for Learning. School Age Program provides services at the Center for Learning and community-based experiences. Summer Work Program gives students the opportunity to strengthen their skills and confidence while providing experience in the world of employment.

Acts as a hub for more than 40 senior clubs and centers and offers a clearinghouse of valuable information. Distributes materials and links seniors with other agencies that can help them. Activities include educational workshops and conferences, recreational and cultural events for seniors, telephone information and referrals, photo identification program, programs to encourage advance care planning, an informative cable TV show, "Young at Heart", and community partnerships to promote wellness and fitness. Introductory tennis program with the goal of providing kids the opportunity to try a new sport. Offers a fun and safe environment in which for kids to learn tennis. Program locations include:

Customized day habilitation for individuals who have developmental disabilities ages 18 years and older. Supports each person by working on skills building, socialization, volunteering, community outings, art, technology, and the interests of each individual. Transportation is available. To ensure public protection in New York State, the New York State Education Department's Office of the Professions (OP) investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct in all professions except medicine. Professional misconduct is the failure of a licensed professional to meet expected standards of practice. Professional misconduct includes the following:

• Engaging in acts of gross incompetence or gross negligence on a single occasion, or negligence or incompetence on more than one occasion
• Permitting or aiding an unlicensed person to perform activities requiring a license
• Refusing a client or patient service because of race, creed, color, or national origin
• Practicing beyond the scope of the profession
• Releasing confidential information without authorization
• Being convicted of a crime
• Failing to return or provide copies of records on request
• Being sexually or physically abusive
• Abandoning or neglecting a patient in need of immediate care
• Performing unnecessary work or unauthorized services
• Practicing under the influence of alcohol or other drugs

Provides free summer lunch for kids and teens ages 18 and under as well as young adults with disabilities through age 21.

Provides short-term emergency shelter for couples and families who find themselves homeless. Provides residents with assistance in finding permanent housing, advocacy, and referrals where needed. Caseworkers are on site for short-term counseling.

An equal opportunity housing provider with several HUD funded, low income affordable housing units. Residents live in apartments in a supervised building, with skills training and support provided in all areas of daily living.

Provides free breakfast and lunch for any kids and teens ages 18 and under (and young adults with disabilities under 21).

Affordable senior apartments offering maintenance-free living for people ages 55 and older who meet income eligibility. Apartment units include a refrigerator and stove, various safety features, and on-site laundry facilities. One and two-bedroom units available. Section 8 vouchers accepted. Additional apartment features include part time professional on-site management, availability of accessible or barrier-free apartment units, secure entrance, community room, and central air conditioning. Tenants may have one small pet. Seven units are reserved for people who are frail elderly/homeless and in need of support services. Apartments are located near a major bus route, as well as within a few blocks of restaurants and shopping.

Provides a home safety inspection performed by Health Inspectors/Educators, followed by information and supplies to improve home safety. Home inspection visits include an assessment for indoor air quality, asthma control, carbon monoxide poisoning, fire and burn safety, lead poisoning hazards, unintentional injury, smoking cessation, and housing and property maintenance, along with information about all of the above. Following the home assessment, intervention products and services are provided according to need and interest. Free products include: smoke detectors and batteries, CO detectors, child safety products, cleaning supplies, asthma trigger management supplies, and radon test kits to qualifying families. These products are only available for households that undergo the home safety inspection.

Program consisting of trained, dedicated volunteers assigned by Family Court judges to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. CASA volunteers are an independent voice. Their mission is to make sure that the child’s needs are met and that they don’t fall through the cracks.

Provides motor vehicle and other driver services such as renewals for operator and motorcycle licenses, permits, and non-driver ID cards; amendments to all types of licenses, permits, and non-driver ID cards; conversion of out-of-state licenses to NYS licenses; renewals of registrations; new plates for passenger and commercial vehicles, trailers, and motorcycles; amendments to registrations for all vehicle types; plate transfers from one vehicle to another for all vehicle types; and plate surrender services. ##REENTRY##

Access to Justice Hybrid Clinic: Students staff either the Help Desk in Erie County Family Court or the Pro Se Assistance Program in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York (Buffalo and Rochester). Animal Law Clinic: The Animal Law Clinic focuses on national, state, and local policy addressing animal welfare issues, such as puppy mills, feral and community cats, and former racehorses. Civil Rights and Transparency Clinic: A litigation clinic focused on civil rights and civil liberties, spanning constitutional liberties like free speech, privacy, due process, and statutory civil rights against discrimination. COVID Response Legal Clinic: Student attorneys serve unmet access-to-justice needs of the community, helping individual and families who are facing unexpected legal matters due to the coronavirus. e-Law Center Clinic: Works with diverse companies who are confronting a variety of business challenges specific to startups and early stage high-growth ventures. Environmental Advocacy Clinic: Focuses on state, national, and international environmental policy issues that have a direct impact on Western New York, as well as national and international implications. Family Violence and Women's Rights Law: Focuses on attaining justice and safety for victims of intimate partner violence. Mediation Clinic: Working on cases referred by local courts or other mediation agencies, students help resolve disputes in family law, small claims, and the community. Puerto Rico Recovery Assistance Legal Clinic: Provides practical legal research and thoughtful pro bono service through an ongoing collaborative effort to empower a resilient Puerto Rico.
