Provides opportunities for individuals, groups and organizations who would like to volunteer. There are several programs that might be interesting for individuals or groups, or if students need to do community service for school credit, volunteer opportunities are available at all site locations.

Processes applications for a variety of health insurance programs including Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, Family Health Plus (FHP), and Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP), Family Planning Benefits Program (FPBP), Baby/Adult Diaper Assistance, Medicaid Buy-In for Working People with Disabilities (MBI-WPD), and the Medicare Savings Program (MSP). Also provides transportation for Medicaid recipients requiring Medicaid-covered services.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.

Provides support and education for stroke survivors, their family and caregivers. Weekly presentations and programs are facilitated by community or hospital professionals and a certified speech/language pathologist facilitates communication for those with speech/language difficulties.

Accepts donated school supplies from August 1 through August 31 which will be distributed to children in under served school districts and to United Way community partner agencies to assist their clients. Preferred items include backpacks, lunch boxes, notebooks, pocket folders, pens, pencils, washable markers, crayons, glue/glue sticks, scissors, rulers and hand wipes. Donations may be dropped off at the United Way of Long Island's office at 819 Grand Blvd., Deer Park, from 9am-5pm. This is a donation program only. Volunteers needed to help sort and distribute supplies.

This service is held one Saturday per month for five hours. It is intended for children 3 to 12 years of age. This program includes outdoor play, small group and individual activities. it is an integrated program for typically developing and disabled children. No fee for OPWDD respite approved children and sliding fee for other cases.

Features bike education and rides for youth aged 11-14. The program includes 6 sessions on Saturdays from 9am to Noon, in May and June. Each session will feature on- and off- the bike instruction and a bike ride. The participants will receive a water bottle, patch kit, safety light, T-shirt and bike multi-tool.
