A 60-unit building with 20 units reserved for the Supportive Housing Program. Provides long-term or permanent housing for residents 55 years and older in a setting where they can access the support services they require to live successfully in the community. Services provided include identifying service gaps and subsequent linkage to community services, networking with service providers, and support in maintaining independence through creation of a housing support plan. Heat, air conditioning, hot water, and electric are included in the rent. All 20 units are fully furnished and include start-up items such as linens, dishes, silverware, and pots and pans. Apartments feature a fully equipped kitchen with a range, refrigerator, and microwave, and a wall-mounted flat screen TV including basic cable service and in-unit storage. On-site laundry facilities are available at no cost to the tenant. Tenants have access to a community room, lounges, and a computer lab. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in common areas in the buildings. Buildings are 100 percent smoke free, with designated smoking areas provided outdoors. There is also off-street parking. Tenants will be assigned to a housing specialist on-site to assist with linkages in the community, provide advocacy, and guide tenants on how to maintain an apartment. Housing specialists are on-site Monday through Friday during business hours. The program will be staffed with security on overnight and weekend shifts. Tenants will need to have significant independent living skills to maintain their apartment.

Provides a support program for people living with chronic health conditions. Helps individuals get the treatment and support to stay healthy and out of the emergency room and hospital.

Offers gardening education and information through trained volunteers. Individuals can become a Master Gardener by taking a 10 week course on horticulture.

Provides job seeker and employer services, including career counseling, computer training, job fairs, and new employee recruitment services.

Provides an intergenerational program with compassionate, person-centered care ans supervision for frail older adults living with both physical and/or cognitive impairments during the day. Services include social and recreational activities, training for sustaining activities of daily living and meals/snacks, along with caregiver support and case management services. Also offers an evening program, twice a week for adults who are newly diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia.

Rosary Hill Home is a 54-bed skilled nursing facility operated by the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne. The Home is dedicated to providing palliative care to persons afflicted with incurable cancer. It is open to all who meet the admissions qualifications.

The building department monitors new building conditions and construction, and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Also enforces the state and local building codes, housing standards and ordinances, to the review of applications for permits of new buildings, repairs, alterations, signs, and rooming houses, in addition to electrical and plumbing work. The building department accepts complaints from tenants about conditions the landlord fails to resolve.

Offers temporary help for individuals and families in need while they work towards self sufficiency. Family Assistance (FA) provides money for families with children. Cash benefits are limited to five years in a recipient's lifetime. After five years, a Family Assistance case may continue to receive benefits if an adult is disabled and cannot work or may be required to apply for assistance through the Safety Net category. Safety Net Assistance (SNA) provides money for basic living expenses for single adults and childless couples (or families who have used up their 5-year limit of FA). Cash benefits are limited to two years in a recipient's lifetime. After two years, the non-cash Safety Net Assistance voucher system provides benefits. Emergency Temporary Assistance through Emergency Assistance for Families (EAF) or Emergency Safety Net Assistance (ESNA) provides assistance for crisis situations including evictions, moving expenses, utility shutoffs, help with food expenses, and diversion payments to help individuals avoid the need for ongoing assistance. Individuals do not need to be on public assistance to receive Emergency Temporary Assistance.

Offers a wide range of licensing, records, and informational services to town residents. Licensing and permits include marriage licenses, hunting/fishing/trapping licenses, disabled parking permits, dog licenses, block party permits and peddler/solicitor licenses. Provides instruction that teaches a woman to observe her bodily changes and chart them throughout her cycle. Knowledge of her fertility pattern enables couples to focus intercourse on fertile or infertile days to implement their intentions.
