Bethpage Back to School Program accepts NEW donated school supplies from August 1 through August 31 which will be distributed to children in underserved communities. Preferred items include backpacks, lunch boxes, notebooks, pocket folders, pens, pencils, washable markers, crayons, glue/glue sticks, scissors, and rulers. Donations may be dropped off at Family Service League offices from 9am-5pm. This is a donation program only. Call for more information.

Adoption and Childrenâs Services provides consultations about adoption options, domestic adoptions; international and domestic home studies, post-placement supervisions, and counseling for pre-adoptive parents; counseling to birth mothers; counseling and record reviews for adult adoptees

DBCH provides anonymous and confidential AIDS/HIV counseling and testing free of charge by appointment or during walk-in clinics.

Skilled nursing facility for short-term rehab and long-term care. Also accept sharps in red sharps containers at the front desk between 9 am and 4 pm.

Monitors new building conditions and construction and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Enforces the state and local building codes and housing standards and ordinances. Reviews applications for permits of new buildings, repairs, alterations, signs, and rooming houses. Accepts complaints from tenants about conditions the landlord fails to resolve.

Works to prevent crime and enforce the law, protect people and property, detect crime and other violations, pursue criminal investigations and arrest criminals. Also ensures highway safety, reduce deaths, injuries and property damage caused by motor vehicle accidents through enforcement and education. Renders assistance to all in need and protect citizens and their property from harm, and promote peace and order.

Offers programs to students ages 14 – 21 in grades 9th - 12th. The 12:1:4 Program at Premm Learning Center emphasizes a multi-sensory approach to learning. Emphasis is placed on improving cognition, sensory motor skills development and use of adaptive equipment to aid movement and independence. Students placed in the 12:1:4 class component are non-ambulatory and are dependent upon staff for meeting their needs throughout the school day. Classroom instruction is provided with hand over hand assistance. Related services of speech, occupational therapy and physical therapy are provided on a group push-in basis. All students are assessed using the New York State Alternate Assessment. Programs are offered at various locations.

Provides seniors over age 60 with transportation to important appointments such as doctors appointments. In addition offers regular route transportation for weekly grocery shopping, trips to Riverhead, etc. Each area in the Town operates on a set weekly route. Call to reserve your seat. Regular transportation is available to the Senior Nutrition Center daily for lunch. Must be residents of Southold Town. Funded through Suffolk County Office for the Aging and the Town of Southold. Offers supported housing and support services to homeless individuals and families with a diagnosed serious persistent mental illness with possible co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Assistance is offered with daily living skills such as money management, vocational/educational, symptom management, apartment management, and parenting in order to enable residents to live the most self-sufficient lives possible.

Eviction Assistance: Provides help to low income who are qualified for subsidized housing and section 8 choice vouchers. For those who may not be qualified for subsidized/section 8, provide older adults, veterans, domestic violence, LGBQT, breast cancer, or individuals diagnosed with AIDS who may be a target for eviction. Landlord/Tenant Dispute Resolution: Aids individuals struggling with their landlord for reasons ranging from eviction, living conditions, recurring problems, etc. Foreclosure Assistance: helps advocate for individuals with mortgage foreclosure with guidance through the legal process and representation, if needed.
