Designed to provide a model response program to civilians within their community. The presentation provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. This presentation is designed for any public or private building personnel, to educate them on how to respond in the event of an active shooter situation. This 2-hour program provides practical lessons on how to save lives. This program is available for all congregations, schools, offices, and businesses in the 5 East End towns of Suffolk County. RAYIM serves the developmentally disabled with in home respite for guardians of children, in home teaching of basic living skills, day trips within the community for adults, supported group home for single adults.

Offers opportunities for child and adolescent witnesses/victims to explore, under the guidance of a Master's level counselor, issues related to the violence they have experienced or witnessed. Services are available to children and adolescents, ages 4-18, free of charge. Counseling services are offered at various locations throughout Western Suffolk County. Offers an 8-week bereavement support group, four times a year, for people who have suffered the loss of a loved one.

Dedicated to providing literacy support to children, adolescents, and adults in an environment where learners have the safety and support that allow them to take risks and gain confidence as they move toward developing mature control of literacy skills. The Reading/Writing Learning Clinic provides services to families in the communities that adjoin Hofstra University as well as in the larger metropolitan area. New York state-certified literacy specialists provide weekly small group or individual instruction. The Reading/Writing Learning Clinic also offers professional reading and writing evaluations for school-aged children and adults. Food pantry assisting those in need within the community.

Provides information and referral, family reimbursements, respite, advocacy, counseling, crisis intervention, home care, recreation, training, and transportation planning services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Provides education for public awareness of the humane treatment and care of all animals and the specific responsibilities of companion animal guardianship. Provides spay/neuter, rabies vaccination and other clinics. Provides a facility to house stray and unwanted animals in a manner which shall sustain their health and welfare. Helps to reunite lost animals with their guardian and offers the adoption of stray and unwanted animals. For animal cruelty please contact 9-1-1 for emergencies.

Provides support to children and families to prevent out-of-home placement of children. Provides support and stabilization to children in foster care placement. Offers support to youth and their families to identify their strengths and needs as they work to address the symptoms of their mental health diagnosis or behavioral health needs.

Person-centered residential program provides full range of living options to maximize independence, including group home settings with 24-hour supervision, supervised apartments, and supported apartments in the community.

Provides individualized services and support to individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and their families. Allows ABI survivors to explore their capacity for learning within a member-driven environment that offers a variety of activities and supports, such as creative writing, memory-enhancement activities, and music and art programs.

Provides holiday food baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas, along with a community holiday meal to individuals and families in need. This seasonal program which runs from May to the end of October offers free fresh produce from local Hudson Valley Farms. It begins at approximately 9:00 am and goes until 11:00 am or until produce runs out, whichever is first. No ID is required for this program. They must bring their own bags.

Provides frozen meals available via pickup from participating senior center locations throughout Erie County. Seniors can choose between a 3, 5, 6, 8 or 10 meal pack that can be picked up once a week from participating locations. A roll, milk, and dessert are included with each meal.
